Castle Crumb Rubber, manufactured by Castle Tire Recycling, is made from scrap tires through a multi-stage shredding and granulation size reduction process. In the grinding process, wire and fiber byproducts are recovered and removed. The remaining crumb is processed into smaller granules which are sieved and separated into different sizes for various markets or to meet customer specifications.
