Castle Crumb Rubber, manufactured by Castle Tire Recycling, is made from scrap tires through a multi-stage shredding and granulation size reduction process. In the grinding process, wire and fiber byproducts are recovered and removed. The remaining crumb is processed into smaller granules which are sieved and separated into different sizes for various markets or to meet customer specifications. Castle Crumb Rubber can replace higher cost raw materials in many molded rubber products and our 10-16 crumb rubber material is a beneficial feedstock for turf infill. As an ingredient in rubberized asphalt, Castle Crumb Rubber helps lower road noise and adds to the long-term costeffectiveness of the pavement.
